After being picked up by highway patrol, young drifter Henry Kilroy is dropped near the home of veteran Sal Spiegel, who served with Henry’s late father until retiring on disability. Meeting Sal’s wife and child, each victims of the combative home, Henry is faced with the childhood that drove him to wandering.
